Utopie Kulturforum: Hermann Parzinger meets Max Hollein

City Talk

20:00

Neue Nationalgalerie
Potsdamer Str. 50
10785 Berlin

Max Hollein was a child when his father, the architect Hans Hollein, was engrossed in bringing together Berlin’s Kulturforum into a meaningful whole. Today, the director of the Metropolitan Museum in New York is busy fascinating visitors for a place of art. And he asks himself what today’s guests expect from a museum – and what they don’t. How do museums cope with crises and what will happen to cultural quarters in general? Max Hollein comes to Berlin and talks to the President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, Hermann Parzinger, in the new “New Nationalgalerie” about his memories of the Kulturforum and what might become of it, but also, of course, about challenges and new beginnings after the pandemic. The conversation will be moderated by Lisa Zeitz, editor-in-chief of “Weltkunst”.
