Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (Ibero-American Institute)
Potsdamer Straße 37
10785 Berlin

Latin America with its different countries has a geographical and also imaginary place at the Kulturforum, the Ibero-American Institute (IAI), dedicated to scientific and cultural exchange with Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, and Portugal. Based on its genuinely international, multidisciplinary profile, the IAI would like to reflect together with representatives of other intermediary institutions and cultural workers on how cultural interdependencies and non-European perspectives can be brought more into focus. Questions of cultural dialogue and the changing role of cultural institutions will also be discussed.

With Silvia Fehrmann (Director of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Programme), Ronald Grätz (Director of the Goethe-Institut Barcelona), Barbara Göbel (Director of the Ibero-American Institute) and Paz Guevara (associated curator Haus der Kulturen der Welt).

The event is free of charge and takes place under Corona protection measures (2G rule). Please register at https://iai-veranstaltungen.einladbar.de/.

Participation in the event is only possible if you are fully vaccinated or recovered. Please present a digitally verifiable proof of full vaccination or a convalescent certificate (both with QR code, digital or printed on paper), which will be checked against your photo ID.
