Memorial and Information Point for the Victims of National Socialist »Euthanasia« Killings
From April 1940, the “Zentraldienststelle T4” planned and organized the murder of people with disabilities, people with mental illnesses and those in need of care as the first systematic mass extermination of the National Socialist regime. The office was located in a large villa complex at Tiergartenstrasse 4 and 4a, which had been rented to the auction house Paul Graupe and the antiquarian bookshop Hermann Ball from 1927 to 1933. Since September 2, 2014, the memorial for the victims of the National Socialist »euthanasia« killings serves as a reminder of the mass murders.
